Showing up consistently takes discipline. Especially on the days when you’re not sure anyone will notice if you’re there or not. Often you’ll need to rely on the pat on the back you give yourself, acknowledging you showed up and did what you promised you’d do.
Why do it? Because one day (and I can’t say if it will be day 100 or day 1000) the value of what you’ve accomplished will surpass the sum of the individual days’ work.
There will have occurred a significant shift, and you’ll have something that you couldn’t have found otherwise.
That something might be finding your voice, your style, your audience, your purpose… whatever it is, it will be yours. You earned it by showing up and keeping the promise you made to yourself. Each day, you earned a little more trust in yourself.
And trusting yourself might just be the thing, you know?
I’m here. How you doing?
